We’re excited to share that San Diego medical marijuana lawyer Jessica McElfresh will be speaking at HIGH TIMES‘ 2015 NorCal Medical Cannabis Cup on Saturday, June 20 in Daly City, CA.
Jessica will be speaking at 3:30 p.m. with the NORML Women’s Alliance (NWA). Madeline Martinez, a founding board member of the NWA, will be moderating for this discussion on the future of legalization in California. Madeline is well-known in the medical cannabis community for being the sole proprietor of the first cannabis cafe in the U.S. for qualified medical marijuana patients. In addition to Jessica, Nevada City criminal defense attorney Heather Burke and Tamar Todd, Director of Marijuana Law and Policy for the Drug Policy Alliance.
The Cannabis Cup will also be featuring topics and panels such as:
- Incorporating cannabis into a healthy diet
- How to stay out of trouble with the law until legalization happens
- The statewide coalition for cannabis policy reform
- How to get a job related to marijuana (commonly known as “cannabusiness”)
- Concentrates and extraction
There will also be a special showing of the new movie Grow House on Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m.
Anyone 18 years of age or older is eligible attend. This year’s Cannabis Cup will be held at the Cow Palace in Daly City. Please note – to consume cannabis on-site, you must have a valid doctor’s recommendation or medical card under California law.
