Underage Woman Facing Minor In Possession Of Alcohol, Enrolls In Community Service

Jan 14 2016, by Jessica McElfresh in Alcohol, Case Results

A top student in her class was attending a large concert in the San Diego area when she was charged with minor in possession of alcohol. The underage woman was asked by a friend to hold her alcoholic beverage and several officers patrolling the area observed her holding the beverage. Although she was carrying the drink, she persisted that she was not drinking. However, officers cited her for this misdemeanor underage offense. The legal services of San Diego criminal defense attorney Jessica McElfresh were then requested.

Attorney McElfresh’s client pled to disturbing the peace and paid a fine. After completing the 20 hours of designated community service, her client did not see a minor in possession of alcohol conviction on her record.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
