Woman Accused Of Shoplifting $120 In Computer Accessories, Dismissal Pending

Jan 08 2016, by Jessica McElfresh in Case Results, Theft

A 21-year-old woman was recently alleged to have stolen a laptop case cover and keyboard from a local university bookstore in California while she was waiting for a friend. The woman was therefore charged with shoplifting with the total value of the stolen items just under $120. Immediately after her charge, the woman relied heavily on San Diego criminal defense attorney Jessica McElfresh to represent her with a strong defense.

Attorney McElfresh took it upon herself to see that her client received a favorable outcome. At the first court appearance and after McElfresh’s strong insistence, the woman was granted community court. With successful completion of only 16 hours of volunteer work under supervision and the repayment of the $120, she will see a dismissal of the entire case. At this point, the dismissal is pending.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
