A middle-aged man was recently charged with vandalism in San Diego for supposedly punching the hood of a truck while trying to save a parking spot for his family in an area where parking is extremely challenging to find. While he was holding the spot, a bystander became mad and tried to ease his car into the space. Allegedly, the man brought his fist down on the hood of the vehicle causing some minor damage.

Rather than receiving a misdemeanor on his permanent record, attorney McElfresh negotiated for her client and obtained a reduction to a simple infraction of disturbing the peace on the condition that he complete eight hours of anger management. In addition to preserving the man’s permanent record, attorney McElfresh argued to significantly lower the price of repairing the car.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
