Drug Charges Dismissed Near Mexican Border

Sep 13 2017, by Jessica McElfresh in Case Results, Drug Crimes

Recently, a man was driving near the Mexican border but did not want to cross over, so he made an illegal U-turn near a checkpoint. This raised the border patrol’s suspicion, who pulled him over and ultimately found a controlled substance. As a result, he was charged with possession of a controlled substance along with making an illegal turn at the border. The client faced serious ramifications including time behind bars and expensive fines, but attorney Jessica McElfresh worked to get both charges fully dismissed if her client paid a small fine accompanied by 15 hours of volunteer work.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
